Join us for the grand opening of the World War II Shelter Museum beneath the Mosta Basilica, a remarkable new attraction that brings Malta’s wartime story to life in the very tunnels where residents once found refuge. Beautifully restored and curated by the Mosta Rotunda Foundation, this underground museum invites visitors to step back in time and experience the courage and faith that defined our community during the 1940s. Through authentic artefacts, traditional tools, and immersive displays, the shelter now stands as both a tribute to Malta’s resilience and a moving extension of the Basilica’s living history — directly beneath the dome that miraculously survived the 1942 bomb.
